City of Orosei is located on Eastern coast of Sardinia. It is little more than 2 kilometers from the city border to fabulous beaches.

If you visit Ozieri, don’t miss the chance to see Italy’s most known grotto, Grotta del Bue Marino or Sea Bull Grotto. In the cave of 15 kilometers length there are amazing stalactites and stalagmites and subterranean lake Salty. On the walls of the cave are still visible ancient petroglyphs, which were attributed by archeologists as artifacts of Ozieri culture.

Public holidays and popular events

January 16: saint Anthony’s fires. On this day on the streets of Orosei torch-lit processions take place. It’s very nice and touching.

May: Sant Isidoro, holiday in honor of saint Isidore. On this day riders’ procession takes place in the town.

Last week of May: procession of fishing boats Santa Maria di Mare

July 25: holiday of saint patron of the city San Jacomo Apostolo. Public festivals, workshops, fairs, colourful processions.

Mid-September: holiday of Madonna del Rimedio.
