The Alpe d’Huez is situated on a fully south-facing plateau at 1860 m above sea level, and its skiable area enjoys maximum exposure to the sun. So enjoy the to 7 hours half a day of sun in December, up to 11 hours a day in April. The French Weather office has recorded an average of 300 days’ sunshine a year at the resort! Also, on a fine day, you can see 1/5e of France from Pic Blanc.
Since 1936, Alpe d’Huez has expanded at an altitude of 1860m on the southern flank of the Grandes Rousses Massif. Also called “The Island in the Sunshine”, this resort enjoys long periods of sunshine (an average of 300 sunny days per year) and a particularly active microclimate.
Only 1 hour away from Grenoble and less than 5 hours from Paris, Alpe d’Huez is a great playground with varied activities to enjoy with your family and friends.
This special naming of “Lifestyle Resort” is justified by the resort’s natural features and richness.
The resort has been awarded the regional Reception Trophy in 2003, and the Quality Charter for an ever growing number of rental accommodations, the large number of skiing and non-skiing activities, the performance of the ski lifts, 4 itineraries with 2000 meters vertical drop… and runs such as the Sarenne, the longest run in the world with a length of 16 kilometers that guarantees a long-time skiing pleasure…
At an altitude of 1450m, overlooking the Sarenne gorge, lies Huez, offering the quaintness of a mountain village just kilometers away from an international mountain resort.
The tranquility, comfort and authenticity of this village provides the perfect setting to pass the time. Huez will awaken your sense of exploration, with the discovery of the tiny alleys leading to the Roman church of Saint Anne.
One hotel and two country gîtes welcome tourists with genuine hospitality. Shops, bars, a bookstore, and a cyber café are open to the public during the season. Thanks to the “Tele-village” cable car of Huez, skiers can access the resort of Alpe d’Huez within 5 minutes.
Alpe d’Huez is the ideal place for lots of activities: sport (hiking, aerial, cycling, horse riding, …) , cultural and relaxing, but it is also a resort with big events during the whole winter!
ACTIVITIES
The Hotel Daria-I Nor***** , which was open in December 2018, is located in the heart of the resort of L’Alpe d’Huez. This real estate complex will offer a complete service largely inherited from our other programs: the Hotel Koh-I Nor ***** in Val Thorens ski area of Les 3 Vallées (awarded as best France’s ski hotel in 2015 and 2016 at the World Ski Awards) as well as the Hotel Taj-I Mah***** in Arc 2000 ski area of Paradiski.
Extracted from the same mine as the famous Koh-I Nor, his shine inspired us to choose the name for our new project in Alpe d’Huez. Also called “the Island of the Sun” at 1860 meters in altitude on the Grandes Rousses massifs: The Pic Blanc culminating at 3330 meters, offers a grandiose panorama, classified 3 * in the Michelin Guide. You will be able to contemplate the massif of Les Ecrins and its prestigious summits such as Le Rateau, La Meije, La Muzelle, Les Aiguilles d’Arves, the Chain of Belledonne and Le Mont Blanc.
Ideally located in of the Eclose district, with direct access to the ski lift of “Les Bergers”, you can access to the Grand Domaine ski area and its 250 km of slopes up to 2200 meters in altitude.
A perfect integration of the project with the natural landscape, the choices of materials combining stones, coatings worked by hand and woodwork with noble essences. The decoration is also finely designed to allow natural light to radiate in each room, each area is an invitation to relax and feel the wellbeing of the space.

The diamond Daria-I Nor, “Sea of Light” in Indian language, is a diamond of 182 carats, color predominantly light pink.
ROOMS
The hotel Daria-I Nor***** (ecc) offers 46 rooms and suites of high standards. All rooms and suites have a large private balcony, a bathroom with bath and shower (except the Club, Classic rooms and 1 Suite Duplex which have a bathtub only), bathrobes, slippers, brand products Black Diamond (Lodge & Spa range created in 2017) as well as a heated towel rail, hairdryer and vanity mirror. All rooms have separate toilet.
There is also a large flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, minibar, Nespresso coffee machine, dressing and a private safe.
For 2 people with 1 king size bed (twin beds only on request). The bathroom has a bath and a separated toilet. 1 of this room is adapted for disabled people with a shower-room.

Located in the higher floor of the hotel this Master Suites has 2 separated bedrooms with a king size in each one (twin beds only on request) one of this rooms has an en-suite shower room with a separated toilet. A second bathroom and toilet are also in this Master Suite, a large living room space with a sofa bed for 2 people.
Possible to have this Master Suite featured as a Duplex, with 1 bedroom + living room + bathroom with shower and separated toilet downstairs and the 2nd bedroom on the upper floor as a parental suite with a bathroom.
This Suites are South or South East Oriented with view on the surrounding mountains.

From 4 to 5 people. It’s the communication between 1 Club and 1 Superior rooms. Each room has 1 bedroom with a king size bed (twin beds only on request), 1 separated toilet, 1 bathroom, (the Club with bath and the Superior with bath + shower), and 1 separated toilet. Each room has a view all over the resort and the mountains, South or South East orientation.
