The Soleil d’Or stands on the village threshold like a welcoming beacon, symbol of Megève’s core values of generous hospitality and proud tradition. Marie-Christine Mecoen, Millésime’s Artistic Director has worked miracles, bringing the Grand Hôtel du Soleil d’Or bang up to date yet scrupulously respecting its authenticity and integrity.
Each of the 16 rooms and suites in the original has a uniquely personal décor. They are all cosy, welcoming and spacious (21 to 39m2) with tremendous mountain views bringing a breath of freedom and a foretaste of thrills on the ski slopes.The top oor is an ode to the beauties of nature while the three lower oors are a symphony of caramel and milk chocolate, a feel good atmosphere as warmly welcoming as a cup of hot chocolate on a cold winter’s day ; you can almost smell the aromas of cocoa and spices emanating from the Chocolaterie on the ground oor.
Three chalets have been built next to the original building, speci-cally designed for welcoming families or groups of friends.
