Arbatax-Tortoli

Eastern coast of Sardinia offers boundless sea, secluded beaches, romantic bays and bloody red rocks. Arbatax and Tortoli are two charming coastal towns, which accept visitors from all countries over the world in this part of Sardinia. Southern tints and fragrances, purest sea, salty air, beautiful hotels and villas– vacation in this place will have a sign of quality.

Arbatax is a city stepped from the pages of fairy tales. Houses with red roofs encircle ancient Saint Michael tower. It’s fourteenth tower in a complex of fortifications, built by Spaniards in XVI century. Arbatax’ heart is its square, like any ancient city’s is. Square of Arbatax bears name Scogli Rossi. On this quare from1992 takes place festival Rocce Rosse Blues. Such world stars as David Bowie, Goran Bregović, Lou Reed, Wilson Pickett always participate in the fest. There are beautiful and authentic cathedrals in Artabax, like Church of Virgin Mary and Church of Stella Maris.

Artabax is a port city, maritime gateway of Sardinia. It could serve as starting point both for joyful yacht trip and grand tour.

Tortoli is protected by Gennargentu mountains. Local climate is mild, mountains make a reliable shield against wind. That’s why people lived here from the most ancient periods of prehistory. It can be proved by archeological remains. The most ancient and interesting of them are nuraghes of S’Ortali’ E Su Monti. But today its greatest treasures are chain of beaches and purest sea, mountain hills, covered with woodlands, grottos and bays, breath-taking reefs, silence and peace in the air.
